photoshelter goes back to its roots and leaves me high and dry
psc.photoshelter.com. Go buy some stuff before they close down so i don't feel like a dork spending a year shooting and keywording for them.
hollly and jason
I live in a house with a bit of interestingness going on. These two are my friends, into each other, and well, it's complicated. Taking their pictures helps me understand it all. Maybe. Or maybe its a selfish way of just getting some good pictures. Either way, I'm into these two shots. I wish I would have gotten a more similar crop on these two.

accidental sensuality
funny how sometimes things come off as sensual, moments of ecstacy. Rachel (my sister) was just tired and glad to not hear her kids crying and getting a moment to talk. We hadn't seen each other in 2 years and it was just good to be around family. But that just goes to show that sweet moments between siblings can be enjoyable.
I love this one. It seems to be really honest and that's hard to get sometimes with people who aren't used to the camera (she's getting there)...

todd hido inspires me
this is a shot taken of my sister and her husband mark at their house in the north suburbs outside chicago.
Getting an email about todd hido's new book, Between the Two, was an exciting moment for me. Mostly because my birthday is coming up and I have something cool to my parents for. I saw this great video (embedded below) , showing the process of how the book was coming together, and it really got me excited about his work. Just goes to show how direct marketing can be so paramount in an artists sucess. Create interest, however possible.
